During the 2025 Christmas period, CSB Group’s fundraising efforts achieved a remarkable milestone, with the Group’s Director’s trebling the amount collected and surpassing the Group’s previous records year after year. The funds raised during the 2025 Christmas period were directed to three impactful organisations: The Malta Hospice Movement, Dar Merħba Bik Foundation, and The Sovereign Military Order of Malta, each providing an outstanding contribution to the community by delivering vital care, protection, and hope to those who need it most.
Supporting Hospice Malta
CSB Group’s contributions support the Hospice Malta, a cornerstone of palliative care in Malta. Alexia Demicoli, Chief Relations Officer, kindly accepted the donation on behalf of the organisation. Works are nearing completion at St Michael Hospice, a new palliative care complex that brings all Hospice services under one roof. The facility is modern and state-of-the-art, thoughtfully designed to feel more like home than a hospital, providing compassionate care to patients with life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, neurological disorders, and cardiac or renal conditions. Patient numbers are steadily increasing, reflecting the growing demand for its expanded services.

Hospice Malta will offer 16 in-patient rooms with private bathrooms and garden access, enhanced day therapy, and multiple out-patient services. Donations also help provide medical equipment, transport, and specialist staff, ensuring care reaches patients wherever they need it. Thanks to the dedication of Hospice Malta, patients and their families receive essential home care, psychosocial support, and educational programs, bringing dignity, comfort, and hope during the most challenging periods of life.
Supporting Women and Children Through Dar Merħba Bik Foundation
This remarkable foundation provides emergency accommodation and holistic support to women who are survivors of domestic violence or gender‑based violence and shelters and supports their children during their stay. The organisation’s focus is on safety, healing, and empowerment for women, with accompanying children cared for as part of the family unit. A current project they're working on, is the renovation of a dedicated playroom to enhance the children’s environment with safe and engaging space while their mothers receive support. Donations play a vital role in funding these services and were gratefully accepted on behalf of Dar Merħba Bik by Directoress Sr. Doris.

Contributing to The Sovereign Military Order of Malta
Additionally, CSB Group proudly supports The Maltese Association of the Order of Malta, one of the oldest humanitarian institutions in Western and Christian civilisation. The donation aids the Order’s annual pilgrimage to Lourdes, a journey that offers spiritual and physical support to individuals facing health and mobility challenges. The President of the Association, Dr. Michael Grech, accepted the donation on behalf of the Order, highlighting the continued partnership in serving those in need.
