Once again, CSB Group team members have been present at the 3rd Annual Malta Workshop organised by the Investment Migration Council (IMC). This was entitled Looking Ahead - the Future of Residency & Citizenship by Investment.
This edition counted with the Special Keynote of Julia Farrugia Portelli, Government of Malta Parliamentary Secretary who opened the conference highlighting the positive impacts of the Investment Immigration programmes within the Maltese economy and society.
Funds contributed by applicants, taking into consideration both the Citizenship and Residence by Investment schemes, have been over EUR1 Billion to date. These funds have been extensively used in improving the life of Maltese citizens and society in general. Approximately EUR6 Million have been donated to the Puttinu Cares Cancer Support Group, to buy housing in the UK for Maltese families whilst patients are taking treatment in the UK.
Other investments have been made within the health care sector as well, by the construction and renovation of the health clinics in the different areas in Malta.
IMC strives to be the voice of the Investment Immigration industry and with its objective of regulating and professionalising the industry. As a result, the IMC has launched a 25 hours course which, up to now, is non-mandatory but in the future will be a requirement in order to become an IMC member.
Other speakers were; Charles Mizzi, CEO of the Malta Residence and Visa Agency, who emphasised on the hard work that is currently being made and the success of the MRVP programme; Jonathan Cardona, CEO of the Malta IIP Agency, who highlighted the use of the contribution funds and the stringent due diligence process that gave Malta a Gold Standard within the Investment Immigration industry.
