CSB Group has been invited to participate in the upcoming Gaming Regulators European Forum (GREF), taking place from the 21st to the 23rd of May 2019 in Limassol, Cyprus. The forum will explore the boundaries between gambling and financial regulation while addressing topics like Alternative Payment Options, Virtual currencies and gambling regulation.
GREF is an international organisation consisting of representatives from European gaming regulatory organisations. At this event, CSB Group will be represented by Nicholas Warren – Senior Manager Financial Services and Blockchain. At the forum Nicholas will be sharing his expertise with the participating audience by giving a presentation about Virtual Currencies.
Now that the iGaming industry has set its eyes on blockchain technology, solutions that promise both players and operators safer and more transparent transactions are becoming a possibility. In this respect the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) is investing its efforts in creating the right framework for the acceptance of Virtual Financial Assets (VFA) and the use of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) within the Gaming Industry in Malta.
The MGA is also expected to be one of the participants of this year’s forum along with a number of other iGaming stakeholders and EU regulators.
