EU Launches Consultation on Effective Insolvency Framework

MEDIA ROOM

The European Union has launched a consultation calling for stakeholders’ opinions on key insolvency acts. The focus of this consultation will be to gather different points of view about common principles and standards that would enable the efficient and effective functioning of national insolvency frameworks, particularly in cross-border contexts.

The information compiled from this consultation will be valuable in identifying key aspects that should be given priority on the legislative agenda and acted upon in complementary fields. The responses will be recorded in the European Commission’s impact assessment report and taken into consideration along with the results of an external study being conducted by the Commission and other information.
