Agreement Between Isle of Man Commission and Malta’s LGA

The Malta Lotteries and Gaming Authority and The Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission have entered into an agreement which establishes a formal basis for cooperation and information sharing between the Isle of Man and Malta gambling authorities.

The agreement has the principles of protection of consumers and preservation of public order at its centre and the common objective of improving regulatory standards in respect of these principles through exchange of knowledge, provision of assistance and establishment of a good working relationship.

Underlying the Isle of Man’s ongoing commitment to international cooperation, the agreement is a strong endorsement from another European country of the excellent reputation that the Island has earned through a decade of safely regulating gambling activity online.

Both regulators look forward to capitalising on the provisions within the agreement to explore and improve the consumer protection opportunities that cooperation offers, to streamline processes and to create efficiencies for business.
