About Thomas

Thomas Mallia joined CSB Group as a Compliance Support Officer in March of 2021, and since then, he has been promoted to Senior Compliance Support Officer while also taking on the added responsibility of Risk Management Officer in September 2024. In this role, he is focused on the implementation and development of CSB’s compliance function. This includes assisting in the development of policy, overseeing the onboarding and compliance reviews of CSB’s clients, and otherwise providing guidance in relation to compliance matters.

Education

Thomas achieved his Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta in 2017, after carrying out research focusing on international and technology law. He has also taken part in and provided numerous trainings relating to AML/CFT, technology law, and other related spheres.

Experience

Thomas has been working in the legal field since 2017. His main areas of focus include working in finance, gaming, intellectual property, data protection, and technology law. During this time, he also oriented his focus towards compliance. His involvement in the implementation of procedures and overseeing of numerous functions in his previous roles have provided him a keen interest in the field, where he continues to grow.
