About Chanelle

Chanelle is a lawyer by profession and joined CSB Group as a Regulated Industries and Compliance Advisor in December 2022.

Chanelle assists clients with legal and compliance advice in Regulated Industries such as Financial Services. Chanelle also supports many clients with varied queries on licence applications, AML/CFT laws and regulations, business and customer risk assessments, and regulatory compliance in Financial Services.

Education

Chanelle graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree in 2017 after submitting his dissertation entitled “To what extent should a company director be held criminally liable? Drawing focus on the offence of involuntary homicide”. She then went on to graduate with a Master of Advocacy at the same university the following year and was subsequently called to the bar. Chanelle obtained the Foundation Certificate in Trusts Law and Management, awarded by the IFSP.

Experience 

Prior to joining CSB Group, Chanelle worked with the Malta Financial Services Authority,  where her main duties were drafting and amending national legislative instruments, participating in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of cross-sectoral strategy and policy projects, liaising with other directorates within the Authority, as well as other governmental bodies and external stakeholders in the implementation of such policy work and acting as a contact point to facilitate communication channels. She also participated in EU fora, including the relevant committees of the European Supervisory Authorities.

Chanelle also had the opportunity to work with a highly respected litigation law firm in Valletta where her primary focus was family law.

Chanelle is admitted to the Maltese Bar, Superior Courts of Malta.
