Ian began his journey at CSB Group in July 2021, stepping into the Client Accounting Department as an Accounts Officer. This was followed by promotions to Accounts Executive and Accountant by November 2023. In January 2025, Ian advanced to the role of Senior Accountant - Projects Lead. Most recently, in January 2026, he was promoted to Team Leader - Client Accounting.
Ian is responsible for overseeing the delivery and quality of accounting services across a diverse portfolio of clients. In this role, he leads and supports the client accounting team, ensuring that work is carried out accurately, efficiently, and in line with regulatory and reporting requirements.
His responsibilities include supervising the preparation and review of management accounts, overseeing bookkeeping processes, and ensuring the timely and accurate preparation and submission of VAT returns. Ian also plays a key role in maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a point of contact for accounting matters and providing guidance to ensure clients’ financial records remain accurate and compliant. In addition to his client-facing responsibilities, Ian is involved in mentoring and developing team members, reviewing workflows, and supporting the continuous improvement of internal processes to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency within the client accounting function.
Education
Ian obtained his ACCA qualification in 2023.
Experience
Prior to joining CSB, Ian formed part of the Corporate Accounting Department at one of Malta’s big-4 accounting firms, as an Accounts Assistant. During the three years of him occupying this role, he gained experience in multiple sectors of the industry.
