About Louann

Louann Micallef joined CSB Group as a Regulated Industries Licensing and Compliance Officer in March 2023.

In this role, she is responsible for assisting clients, hailing from a broad range of jurisdictions, with obtaining the required licenses from the Malta Gaming Authority, supporting the client from engagement till such license is obtained.

Education

Louann is a qualified MLRO with vast working experience background having worked within the iGaming and Crypto sector for the last fifteen years. She has also obtained a Diploma in Compliance within the Financial Services sector and attended various conferences and other courses to keep abreast with the industry fast evolving pace. Louann has also recently obtained a US certification as a Crypto Investigator.

Experience

Louann started her career on Financial Crime Prevention moving from Customer Service to Fraud and Payments to AML and Safer Gambling sectors and has worked both on the operational side and regulatory side of the business for B2B and B2C. Louann has experience providing training and development sessions either in English or Italian, having worked for many years as a specialist for the Italian Market. She has also handled multiple jurisdictions as a Team Manager of different departments under MGA, UKGC and all other regulated industries. In her most recent experience, Louann has worked on AML, Risk and Compliance covering EU, US and other regulated jurisdictions within the Crypto Industry.
